, from Hooksett NH Summary: This trail is the BOMB. all you wennies out there arent worthy unless you've been on Hobbs. Be prepaired to be amazed and humbled at the same time. Be nice to the new house and they wont even notice you, and lets keep this trail alive. If the trail had less leaves and was better maintained it would get 5 tires but its not so it gets 4 tires instead. Recommended Route: Hobbs Trail Other recommended trails in the same area: FOMBA, Bear Brook

, from MANCHESTER, NH Summary: This trail is better known as the Hobbs trail and like Tom said there is a house there and they dont pedal. So if you want to take the chance this was once a great trail that was completely rideable even on a hardtail.

Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Manchester Summary: These trails were very challenging compared to the fomba singletracks off Depot Road. I chose to walk down the ledges on the southern slope for fear of falling down the ledges 60-80 ft. into the quarry. Other then that spot the trial is very rideable. The south slope trail eventually reseaches an intersection. The trail to east goes a short distance before entering a feild at Auburn Center. There was no path across the feild so I returned to the intersection and continued up the trail (to the west) which leads up the eastern slope after crossing a wet area near a stone wall. At the top of the ridge you can return down the western slope or make the second loop that goes back down the eastern slope and returns back to the ridge top agian. All of the trails are in good condition and offer several log hops that are 6 to 14 inches high, lots challenging climbs and descents with a few 1-2 foot drops. Some sections of trail can be ridden fast, but beware of downhill runs that make 90 degree turns after a drop. These trails are not heavily used like the fomba single track, so if your looking to get away from the crowd, check it out. Recommended Route: Ride up the west ridge from the second entrance make both loops, down and up the south slope then down and up the eastern slope to the top of the ridge. There is another trail that goes to the west from the top of the ridge out to the housing developement ( I think it's called Wood Hill) where you can cross thru the developement to another short single track to the railroad bed just west of Hooksett Rd. (the tunnel). If you return the the western slope go out on the trail that drops into the quarry, its real wild downhill run with some good drops and tight turns. Other recommended trails in the same area: Rattlesnake Ridge is also not heavily traveled but offers some good singletrack and can be made into a loop around the eastern half of Lake Massabesic. Cross Deer Neck to Rattle Snake road and then return up Lakeshore Rd. past the Water Dept. buildings and return to By-pass 28 on or near the railroad bed.
