Cross Country Rider Summary: Wow....Bear Brook Rocks! I live 15 minutes from Bear Brook and I do not think I will ever tire of riding there. This place covers a huge area. Yesterday I biked 20 miles and I think if you count all the trails that are on and off the trail map you have over 50 mile of killer mountain biking. Every thing from easy fire roads to some of the most tech stuf around. There is super smooth flow-trails and super slow rock-tech bike trails. As with most places some of the best riding is off the map. The main drawback is the trails are not marked well and riding with someone who knows the place is a big plus....unless you have several days to explore. As far as the Aerobic Difficulty Rating goes, well this depends on how hard you peddel and how many hills you wish to climb. You can do it easy or hard. So I will give it a 4 but this does not mean you cannot take an easy cruise through the park. Recommended Route: Too many good ways to ride Bear Brook..... explore it! It is the kind of place you can explore for years and still find new trails. I have been going here for several seasons now and found a new trail yesterday! Bring a compas or GPS because the trails are not well marked and if it is cloudy you could get lost or turned around easily. A hunter got lost here and died recently. His body was not found for almost a year and this was after an extensive search. It was found not far from where he parked. Other recommended trails in the same area: No need...Bear Brook can keep you busy for many days.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Since this area hasn't been reviewed recently,I will give an update.
Probably some of the best riding in NH. All abilities can find something that they like. The SNH chapter of NEMBA has been very active in building and maintaining the trails.
Park at Podunk road, which is off of Deerfield road in Allenstown.
Start on easier trails such as pitch Pine and Bobcat. Broken Boulder up to Podunk is a little more technical as well as a climb. Turn Right on Chipmunk an ride 120 feet of boardwalk. Don't forget to ride Carr Ridge and Bear Brook Trail, two of the best trails in the Park!

Cross Country Rider Summary: First rode Bear Brook five years ago- thought it fun, but not very challenging. Returned today- now we understand why folks love this place. It has rides for everyone from family rides to some serious singletrack. Plenty of roots, rocks, and short ups and downs. Recommended Route: Started from Podunk Road lot, headed out to Broken Boulder, then followed signs put up by The Eastern Fat Tire Association for their Bear Brook Boogie- loved the buff singletrack off of Podunk- a few delightful rock gardens. Bear Hill is a fun up- the pay off on the down is on extremely well maintained single track- you can fly! Other recommended trails in the same area: Fort Rock, Pawtuckaway State Park

Racer Summary: I really can't put into words how beautiful Bear Brook is. It's amazing. Do yourself a favor and pick a nice sunny day and take a refreshing dip in the pristine lake to rinse off the sweat. As you are sitting on the rocks drip-drying, take a look around and everything will seem right in the world for a moment. Recommended Route: Just ride and you will inevitably stumble upon some sweet singletrack. Other recommended trails in the same area: Fort Rock

My Review: Great place to ride, a little bit everything here. On hot day check out Bear Hill Pond for a swim at the ledges off the Ferret Trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: All of the above and FOMBA.
