Summary:
Rode this trail as a tourist in Las Vegas and had a good time guided by Bobby from McGhie's. Trail is gravel and sand so wasn't a lot of traction like what I'm used to. Not a lot of hardcore technical riding but there were a couple of short climbs and a few rocks to roll over. Hard to tell distances etc if you're not used to the desert and the downhill portions went faster than what we would've guesses

scenery is pretty nice and different...supposedly there's wild horses and burros, but we didn't see any when were there in early April. Red Rock and mountains in the distance were really cool. Not sure we'll travel to las Vegas again, but if we did, we'd ride RR Canyon again.

Of special note --- we've had a few guides before when doing the ride while on vacation thing, but Bobby certainly distinguished himself as not just a really good guide, but also a patient teacher. He took his time and gave my wife some good riding tips (hhehehe...yeah, I know what you're thinking...) while I was able to ride with the faster riders in our group.

Recommended Route:
There are a few trailheads but the trails/turns aren't clearly marked. I wouldn't reccomend hitting this trail without someone who's been there before.

Use sunscreen...

Summary:
Rode here for two days - favorite trail was Black Velvet - good technical trail, but very short. Otherwise, a lot of fast singletrack with cacti everywhere! No flats but don't fall off your bike. Looked at the Pukester in Blue Diamond and rode part of the way up it but left it for another day at the end of the season when I am feeling a bit friskier - very steep and long.

Recommended Route:
Black Velvet (at the head of the B. Velvet Canyon) or the Pukester in Blue Diamond.

Summary:
Very different from East Coast, so I like the trails. Comparitively smooth singletrack. Even saw wild horses! Picked up a map and rental from ETCS in Vegas (great shop). Did not feel that there was a lot of technical challenges on these trails but then that does not appeal to me much anyway. I like fast singletrack which there WAS plenty of!

Recommended Route:
Any
