The N Trail

Very quick moving, some jumps, a rock garden, and a cool drop into a chute with a bad bank turn at the bottom thanks to who ever did that.

Trail Directions
You can either park at the softball fields and ride to the top or carpool. Take Virginia Street up Hoge Rd. on the left. Turn there and follow it, it will turn to a dirt road after a while. Keep on following the rode until you get to a very wide section of the road, it has tons of ruts. Park there. There will be a jeep road going south follow that to the top of the hill, there will be a lot of rocks (fairly big one) to the left. Go over to them and the trail starts there and heads south.

Summary:
I came to Reno to escape Michigan's winter/spring and start the mtb riding season a little early. I rented a bike from Jim at Sierra Adventures (inside Silver Legacy Hotel/Casino)and took the self-guided tour. Jim gave me a bunch of maps and good locations. The N trail was the first one that I hit. My lungs aren't used to the elevation, so it was a good first trail to hit.

Recommended Route:
I took Jim's recommended route going through Rancho San Rafael Regional Park and then through the tunnel by the dog park to get to the trail system.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Peavine is a challenge!!!

Summary:
Damn fine work by the lads over at UNR's DH test pilot program!

I rode this almost every day this summer, and it was great.

Recommended Route:
Find your way down to the top of the DH, ride down, make sure you hit the lower section after the bowl drop. And the big rock drop is kick ass

Other recommended trails in the same area:
night time power DH runs on Keystone Canyon.

Summary:
It is a great trail with some technacle stuff in it. I personally am not too good. I can't ride the big double at the beginning and half the time make it through the rock garden.

Recommended Route:
Same Way as The other dude said. This trail is great for all skills of people.
