Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from whitefish mt Summary: This is a great trail for beginners as well as experts.I ride it 4 times a week sometimes. The cross country aspects of the pig farms are phenomonal. One might be able to pedal for most of the day and never see the same thing. There are not much dismounting and some good downhill can be found near the old rusty can. Recommended Route: farm to market, look left coming from whitefish, look right coming from kalispell. Other recommended trails in the same area: ride hard and much love

, from Bozeman MT Summary: My girl and me were in Whitefish for a weekend and were hoping to ride Big Mountain before driving home. Unfortunately the trails were closed for race. A guy at the bike shop in downtown Whitefish (Glacier Bikes ?) gave us directions to this ride and we sure are appreciative!! We pedalled up the double track from the parking area and when it started to go downhill we turned left onto a singletrack. That eventually comes to a T after a steep climb where we turned right and did a really fun rolling singletrack loop along a ridge line and dropped down a tight fairly straight singletrack back to the double track. Then back up and another more technical loop (left at the T) that had a few short steep sections, a great view and eventually a set of obsticles. I wish someone else was riding there so I could have watched someone ride the bridge to 8 ft drop between the trees - I am not that ballsy. The lower altitude bridges and ramps were a blast. Downhill from that spot the trail crosses over the doubletrack and turns into a winding descent back to the car with a bunch of little ramps over logs and a couple steeper sections. Anyone can ride this trail as the obsticles are avoidable although my girlfriend opted to walk down 2 of the steep technical sections. We'll definately try it again the next time were up that way. Recommended Route: Just ride around and explore

, from Kalispell, MT USA Summary: Just inquire at Bike Rite and we will hook you up. A great place for xc riding. Not the most technical in the area but a lot of fun for early and late season rides. Other recommended trails in the same area: Spencer Mountain, Strawberry Lake, and many many more.
