Cross Country Rider Summary: starting at TH , make your way up any ST or combintaion to ATV/cycle TH. you gain 990' over 3 miles and should be able to ride w/o dismount on fairlry well maintained ST.
pick your way down any way you like.
this is basically an intermediate ride.
you can also travel up FR for even less aerobic challenge.
2 side trips - hayes pt. and deadman's pt. should add substanitially to both dist. and elevtion gain.
attached map includes elevation gradients.
excellent signage on trail and maps at TH. maps don't show distance or elevation. suggest you download attaced map.
this is NOT considered the best trail system in Mizzu, but good intermediate . take the GF and the dog!

, from missoula Summary: Blue Mountain has the best terrain AND the fewest hikers/walkers/runners/equestrians. For the doubletrack/jeep road rider there are lots of roads to ride; for the singletrack lover there's enough to keep you rolling all day long; and for the DH and FR riders, there's Dead Man's Ridge. Ride your XC or FR bike up and then all around, or shuttle your DH bike up near the top and save yourself about 10 miles of climbing. Trails are everywhere, just don't ride on the Folf Course or on the trails designated as "horse/hiker only." Recommended Route: 1. Jedzilla XC race course climb + descent into Hayes Creek drainage Other recommended trails in the same area: mmmmm... Dead Man's Ridge.
