Trail Directions
Take Van buren street up to the rattlesnake rec. area. Once you pass the first main trail head keep climbing up the road until it opens up into a large meadow (you can also ride a singletrack trail on the right side of the road, it's cool). Once your in the meadow keep going up the dirt road until you see your first turn off to the right. Start climbing! Once you've gone up and up and up you need to be looking to the left for a sign that says Stuart peak. Thats when the climb gets to be a serious climb for about .7 miles. Then your there. These directions are proably horrible but just ask some bikin' dudes in missoula and they'll point you in the right direction.

Summary:
This trail offers some great single-track descending. The climb is kind of tough, but very worth it. The downhill has both steep, technical sections and more wide-open sections you can fly on.

Recommended Route:
There are a number of different ways to get up to the top from the start. My favorite is up Sawmill Gulch. Take your firsr right and start climbing. At the next fork take a left and climb. Eventually you will get to a real steep short climb on your left. At the top of that follow signs for Stuart Peak and stay pretty much on the most widely used trail. Start going down after a great lookout of Snowbowl.

Dead Mans Ridge. Other trails at Blue Mountain. Jumbo to Woods Gulch, and others in the Rattlesnake

Summary:
Great climb, starts off mild and steepens up. The trail peaks out and then is all downhill-tight and slow at first, then straightens out and gets really fast, except for dips that are hard to jump on purpose, but launch you anyway. Take a right about 20 yards before the bridge. Trail tightens up but is still fast and solid boss. About 1.5 hours.

Recommended Route:
same, I think

it is a goodtrail to ride on a hot day because it is mostly shaded excpt for the start.
The DH is so fun!!

Recommended Route:
The best way to go is to head up to the raddle snake reck area and when you get up to the parking lot keep driveing up the road, you are on saw mill gulch road (you will se it on you'r left, it starts out gravle but turns in to black top).drive for half of an mile and you will come to a fork, go rite it is gravle drive to the end. Un load you'r bike. you are redt for a 1500 to 2000 foot climb to a beutifull veue of snow bowl ski area.
ride all the way up the mane fat trail 1/2 of a mile or so ignoring all other turn offs, take a rite folow the trailfor a mile climb or so and you will get to a intersection of trailsand a flat spot. head up the rige (north) keep goind you will pass a feue sines keep going you will get to a loging road head wright. after a bit you will come to a trail on you'r wright with a sign i can't recall what it says maby stewert peak trail or some thing like that but anyway go up it. After a killer mile an a half klimb you will be there. keep going on the trail and go down down down at every fork you get to.
