Bohart XC Ranch

The area is used for a cross country ski area in the winter. The bike trail follows most of the ski trails used. They have also taken the time to create some single track through the trees in spots. The trail is pretty easy to follow and there aren't many riders. It gains appr. 1000 feet in elevation during the course of the ride and it seems like you go uphill forever although the climbing isn't technical or granny-gear steep. It provides a couple spots that have incredible views of the valley below and the peaks of the Bridger mountain range. It's a good all-around ride in a very scenic setting. It's more of a XC ride than others in the area that are just miles of continuous climbing.

Summary:
The trail is great to warm up to the thin air of the higher altitude. For such a short trail it has a little of everything a MT Bike rider needs. As with most the trails in Montana, there are other trails that branch off of this trail. However, make sure you know what you are doing before trying them. It is not easy riding at night so make sure you have plenty of time to get back

Recommended Route:
Check with the local bike shops in Bozeman.
