Pomme de Terre - Bolivar Landing

Average Rating:    (1 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 1

The trails at Pomme de Terre - Bolivar Landing wind along a branch of the Pomme de Terre lake. Two trails run parallel to each other as they make their way to the other side of the branch of the lake. The blue trail is more difficult, while the yellow trail (closer to the lake) is easier. Creek crossings, rocks, roots, and climbs litter the trails and challenge the rider. Be aware of horse riders that also use these trails.

Terrible. Rode this in April based on some reviews I read and at the suggestion of a coworker. From the western trailhead to about the 1.2 mi mark (per trail map) it was a well maintained hiking trail. Beyond that, it turned into a heavilly rutted horse trail which then turned into a swampy mess by mile 3. It was worth checking out but will not go back.

Recommended Route:
Started at the western trail head and rode the orange trail/flag. Pretty much one way in and out.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Stockton Lake trail, Sac
