Great trail. This area seems to get hammered by storms, so take a map. When I went the trail signs had been knocked down.

Recommended Route:
76 to AP...turn left at the first gravel parking lot you see. For short route turn right at a mile or less in. But go left from the sign in.

This is on the edge of a wilderness area...if you go 5 miles in on the Ridge Runner Trail, you will run into a bunch of bear signs...so do beware as they are reported very frequently through here (which I learned after the downed sign day).

Very pretty around the lake.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Ozark Trail Pomona TH or CC TH or Devils Backbone Wilderness
