Devereaux Ridge

All of the trails off of Devereax ridge are either double track or jeep roads. If you are looking for something less chalenging than Chadwick, or a new place to get out in the woods this is a great place. Most of the trails that are on the eastern side or left side of rd 563 will end up in the valley, or Garrison Branch. I have a detailed map of the area which is available at DownHill Bikes in Branson Mo. If you are afraid of getting lost don't ride here, but if you like an adventure and just want to blast down some rough rocky fire roads this is your place. I can reccomend taking a left at the hill climb area off of 563. The hill climb area should be obvious because there is a big open spot where jeeps try to climb a steep hill.
Find Ozark Mo, south of Springfield. Take hwy 14 east, take 125 south just outside of Sparta. Go through Chadwick and take H hwy. Stay on H hwy past both of the chadwick motorcycle use campgrounds, you are looking for Garrison road. Garrison road is a gravel road, there are two smaller gravel roads on the right, the second of these is forest service road 563 which is Devereaux Ridge road. Off of this road are jeep roads.
Summary: Very, Very nice, definitly one of the best trails around, lots of long dowhills, & crazy hard climbing. Mostly doubletrack, beautiful sceanery, some of the best riding in the Ozarks, not as rough a ride as Chadwick, but almost. Love this trail.
Recommended Route: All ways are good, would start to the right for first time, come to a clearing w/multiple directions to go & go left - great downhill!
Other recommended trails in the same area: Swan Creek(or Bar K) Chadwick
