Trail is basically five distict sections which are separted by street, rail-trail and the creek. All is single track, much is creek bottom. Two new sections are very good. Technical with decent climbs.

Trail Directions
There are a number of ways to get on these trails. Most useful, especially if driving to trails is to park at trail head parking lot on north St. Louis Street, just south of Zora. The parking lot is on the east side of the street. From there, head southwest down the rail-trail. You will see the mtb trails going of in each direction on each side of the creek.

Summary:
Trails are a good place to go spend an hr or two if stuck in Joplin. Trail are as described mostly single track, ranging from buffed to loose fist sized rock, also a small bmx section. If trails were longer or not seperated by roads. would would give overall raiting of 4

Recommended Route:
Many ways to get to trails. For first time best to start off the rail trail where it crosses turkey creek, then go exploring.

Summary:
These trails are short but awesome, though I belive that if you follow the wide river road on the south side of the creek and head west, you could probably go for a while.

If you go in summer, don't stop or you will be eaten alive by chiggers. I now have hundreds of bites on my legs from a trip to these trails last week.

Also, check out the INSANE BMX jumps on the north side of the creek. See the trailhead directions below, then follow the trails west on the south side of the creek until you get to a wide creek crossing, take it across, go right (east) and follow the riverside s-track to the jumps. These are not ridable by a cross-country bike. BMX or dirt-jumpers only.

Recommended Route:
Take Neuman Road west until it ends (past Florida) and park at the trailhead turnout on the north side of the road before it turns to private property. Once ont eh trail, head east a bit and loop around, you'll eventually get back to where you started from which you can go west for a long time.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
The rest of the area is still open to ride. Lets try to keep it that way!

Summary:
This trail has gone through major overhaul within the past year. Many new sections have been added East of St. Louis/Turkey Creek bridge. I have been working on a new spur South of Turkey Creek known as "Slanted & Enchanted" - work is slow so please be patient. I must complain a tad here: Please do not create shortcuts on any of these trails. If they are too difficult for any one's skill level, please ride elsewhere. "Ride the trails, don't make the trails rideable." Obstacles have been removed recently, by chainsaw and otherwise. If you like it smooth there IS a rail-trail. I must tip my hat to E. Davis here for the work he has done! Hands down, he has given the best sections in the entire network. One last thing, trail work is fun! Give at least one afternoon a month to cleaning up, raking, etc., your favorite section.

Recommended Route:
Take the rail-trail South form St. Louis St. Five singletrack sections begin East or West.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Snowball. Transients, ATV's, traget-practice, JoMo style! Use cautionary tactics while riding here. You all do know that bodies have been dumped in this area many times. Grab your partner!
