Summary:
The Longleaf Trail is primarily an equestrian trail. It is in the DeSoto National Forest, so the area is attractive, though not very scenic.
The trail surface is fairly rough due to horse traffic. Carry plenty of water. Toilet facility at the trailhead.

Recommended Route:
I only rode the shortest loop on my visit. Other loops may be better.

If you're a serious biker forget these trails. The horses have taken over and the trails are in bad shape.

Summary:
This route has a lot of variety with some steep climbs, stream crossings, fast downhills, technical areas, and single track. You can ride for hours...but you better pace yourself and take plenty of water.

Recommended Route:
There are numerous loops.

The ATV Trail is close by in the same area.
