Summary:
Nice paved trail with an outstanding view. It has a lengthy up hill if you go out from West Duluth. Very slight grade so it doesn't kill you, just don't expect to get to far to fast.

Recommended Route:
Do leave from W. Duluth because it's all downhill when you go back into Duluth.

Summary:
This is longest paved bike trail in the world according to the Minnesota DNR. It stretches from Hinckley to Duluth and can be as difficult as you want it to be. I biked from Hinckley to the Duluth pier and back in one day and put 162mi on my bike.

If you take a mountain bike, you can continue at Duluth on the North Shore trail for another 146 mi. You would be tired.
