Little Woods

Average Rating:    (4.33 of 5)

Small but fun. Provided are an abundant supply of cigarette smoking delinquent 12 year olds which can be used to cushion your return to earth when you land your first 10 footer. Lots of dirt jumps with a notably sized tabletop. A few hits through the woods too. Too crowded in early evening especially when preschool gets out.

Summary:
This Trail is actually part of the Greystone Ski Trail System. There are about 20 kilometers of ski trails, however, only the North Loop (where the trail seems to be located on the map) is open during the summer months. In the last few years, the Central Minnesota Cycling Club has built 6+ miles of singletrack around the ski trail. It has trails for all ability levels, including 2 expert loops. One loop has some more technical turns, log crossings, rocks, and even a half log balance beam. The other expert loop has more hills, and a more difficult rock section. There are also 4 "expert spurs" that branch off the main trail for less than 100 feet. These are a technical turning section with a short drop, a short climb to a 2 foot log drop, a steep 30 vertical foot climb with a 1.5 foot log drop and 2 technical switchbacks, and a 20 vertical foot steep climb followed by an even steeper drop. All in all this trail has transformed into a great place to ride singletrack.

Recommended Route:
Take highway 10 to Minnesota Blvd. Turn Right at first stop sign. there is a white sign that reads "North Loop" Park on the street and enjoy!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
There is another singletrack trail around the St. Cloud Compost Site.

Summary:
Very cool area to ride. The jumps are designed more for BMX bike, than freeride bikes, but they can be ridden. BRING YOUR SHOVELS AND PICK UP YOUR TRASH. The only downfall I see is all the little punks who throw their trash all over the place. It is very messy.

Recommended Route:
St. Cloud???????

Other recommended trails in the same area:
There is some pretty good street riding and Urban assault. Lots of college chicks too!!!
