Long grouling uphills, grassy double-track, crazy down-hill, and exciting single-track make Cherry Hill one of the best XC race trails in the area. Home of the "Cherry Bomb" XC race.

Summary:
This trail is a good workout. First you climb out of the valley along a gravel road and when you get to the top to follow the double track trail for about 7 miles. It has lots of little climbs and gets you a good leg burn. At about the seventh mile keep a look out for a single track tail off to the right. It has a sign warning about the down hill ahead. After you get back to the road you just drove up to park don't just head back to your car, go strait across the road between two wooden posts and have blast on some awsome single track. Then head up for another loop. Laps are 8 miles.

Recommended Route:
See above, I gave it a 5 for diffiulty because recent rains have made some big ruts in the down hill section. 7-9-04

Summary:
I go race-pace once or twice a week (Thur & Sun) here. The long gravel uphill and grassy double-track make for a hard work-out and crazy single-track make it a fun work-out. Sence this area is used by hunters during the hunting season please be carefull and take proper precautions. Also, this trail is not used very often so be sure to be self suficient. Be sure to check out the "Cherry Bomb" XC race here. (canceled for 2003)

Recommended Route:
Bike past the road-block and climb up the gravel road unto you reach the top of the bluff. Take a left and continue past another road-block until you see a trail. Take a right and countinue to follow the trail (XC ski trail/double-track). When you come to a gravel road take a right onto the road and then take a right back onto the trail. To avoid getting lost don't take any turn offs (unless specified in recommended route). When you come out onto the road agian take a right and then anouther right onto single-track. Follow until you come to more doulble-track, take right. Continue to follow trail until you see a small turn off on your right marked with a caution/difficult sign. Take a right onto single-track. This section is very rocky, scetchy downhill! It is followed by some very demanding single-track as well. The trail exits into the parking area. For more single-tack countinue across parking area ( it would take a very long time to give directions for this section so I strongly recomend going with a local rider).
