Summary:
This trail is pretty flat and not very technical. But it does have some good distance and it is pretty wide open so it is fun just to go ripping through there at a good pace. Just a fun trail to hit if you are checking out the Brownie Lake trails. Just look out for walkers and their dogs and be prepared for dirty looks.

Recommended Route:
Head towards the city on the paved Cedar Lake trail. As you are passing Cedar Lake on your right, you will see a dirt trail entrance on the right side of the paved trail.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Brownie Lake, Wirth Lake and Theo Wirth MTB loop trails.

Once a week

Summary:
This trail is mostly for casual riders. It is very lengthy and hooks up with other paved trails throughout the city. It is all blacktop and is great for both fast riders and ma & pa strolls. The only challenge you'll have is bucking the wind on some of the areas near the lakes, no hills at all.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Single track riders head up just a couple miles to the north and ride on the Theodore Wirth Park trail. It is a new track (2005) that provides a great challenge through a dense forest.

Very fun

Recommended Route:
I park at the office building in the back and go around brownie lake, cross over railroad tracks(under bridge) and follow the path going towards the city, then take the path behind the the woods going the opposite way until you get to a crossing for cars. On your left there will be some very nice trails and jumps. Must recommend.

If you're some sort of beginner there's a small area that works great for the tech'riding.

Recommended Route:
If your'e already on two wheels then aproach this from downtown, that way you can take a good look at what won't be there. There's a paved path from the backside of that parking garage on7'th-n-1'st.If you have any kinks in the system, then this short jaunt will give you a chance to get rid of them

Summary:
Cedar Lake has some fun stuff alright, watch out for civilians though! The singletrack loop around Brownie Lake is pretty cool. On the side by the office building is some new singletrack, awesome stuff, technical and one huge log crossing and no hikers on this stuff!

Recommended Route:
east side of Cedar Lake
