Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from minnetonka Summary: Rode from the north lot. Lots of up, right back down and back up, you have zero time to catch your breath before heading back down from the short steep climbs. Due to the tall grass extra caution must be taken at the bottom of the drops as there can be mud or other nasties to send you over the bars. More riders would make it a good place to ride. Scenery and the drive on 38 are outstanding

Ridden Trail: Once a year

, from Grand Rapids, MN Summary: Normally fun trails. Not really well maintained. Lots of medium sized rocks that are hidden in the longer grass. These are skiing trails, though. It's fun, but It doesn't have the tecnical drops and narrow trails that makes mnt. biking challenging. These trails are challenging, but only because of the steep climbs that are common on ski trails. These trails are more fun to ski than bike, but they are bikable. Recommended Route: North on 38 from grand rapids. about 15 miles north. Other recommended trails in the same area: Sugar hills/shingle mill and 4-wheel trails north of the Taconite trail(anywhere from Grand Rapids to Calumet)
