Downhiller Summary: This trail is still the only decent riding within 40 miles of the F-M area. The Trollwood art center moved to a spot in S. Moorhead so for now 2008 it is still good trail riding . Yes the weeds are bad ( if nobody rides and helps smack em down ) Yes it isn't very long , and Yes the red river is pretty gross and dangerous. They have a Cross / Race late Fall every year out there too.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Trail was dry and was nice to get out of the wind. Trail is not difficult but the closest thing to mountain biking within 50 miles of Fargo-Moorhead. Other recommended trails in the same area: Dutton Locks, Detroit Lakes, MN
Fort Ransom State Park, Fort Ransom, ND

Cross Country Rider Summary: Weeds can get high, although this year they mowed the west trails in the middle of the summer. The east trail is unpassable once the weeds get high. An OK ride, pretty fast but not much technical stuff and only about 2 miles total length. This trail will probably not be around much longer as the Trollwood Performing Arts school is moving there. Too bad, its not great but it's the best riding I've found in town. Other recommended trails in the same area: After N Broadway (Fargo) turns into County Road 1 (Moorhead) and crosses County Road 22, there are some 4-wheeler trails just off the west side of the road that are kind of fun, pretty technical areas. Also in Lindenwood, Oak Grove, and near Trollwood by the river there are some areas.

Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Fargo Summary: I rode this trail today. The weeds are high, but there are trails that are maintained. Although, some of the trail is impassible due to overgrown weeds. Fallen down trees can also be a minor problem. BE SURE THE GROUND IS DRY BEFORE RIDING. Not only does your bike look like it went through hell, but the soil becomes slippery and possibly dangerous. Recommended Route: The nature trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: The paved trails along the river on both Fargo and Moorhead sides.
