Hidden Valley trail system
9 reviews
 3.22 of 5

This review is coming for a beginner/intermediate rider with the help of a expert. The Hidden Valley system is great training. There are tons of trails to be ridden; very wide variety so anybody with any ability level can find their niche. It is then up to the rider to figure out how much you want to put into this trail system- what you want to get out of it. There are many little trails with great superises on them. The DNR even builds you cool little obsticles to conquer! And for those of you who love the hills, there are many of those to be had, long or short, you decide. This system is all about you:) I experienced it and could greatly improve by just riding here and hitting harder trails each time!

Upon entering Ely, go straight through town until you see a sign for Hidden Valley Road. It's a gravel road right out of town on you're right. You'll only take that for a wee bit and then you will hit Hidden Valley.

Ridden Trail:
Once a year

Summary:
We've ridden and skied these trails quite a few times since my spouse is from Ely and we get there at least once a year. So we've had the opportunity to ride them quite a few times but we can’t honestly call them a technical challenge or great fun for that matter. Yes there are some nice hills there but ski trails are built with different criteria which doesn’t necessarily make them fun biking trails. We've wondered why the Ely area MB riders don't investigate adding some single track to these woods. So we plead to the Ely area MB riders to please add some IMBA single track!!! We feel you have a wonderful ski area which would be greatly enhanced and made a year around silent sport destination if some great single track could be made as well.....

Summary:
The Hidden Valley Trail System is most likely the best trail system in Ely. It has trails for beginers, intermediate, and advanced. It also has a lot of elevation change so it is quite a workout.

Summary:
For Ely, this is just about the best all around trails for anybody who ia a beginner, intermediate, or advanced. There are mucky trails used for sking in the winter or there are logging roads which ride a little faster. There a lot of fun and it is close to Ely.

Recommended Route:
Spend a few days trying them all out to find a route that suits you best

I thought the trail had lots of hills to push yourself on but it was a little sloppy for this time of year but this summer it's gonna kick ass. Great back woods trails they weren't as sloppy. Great trail.

Summary:
This was my first time ridding the trails in the Hidden Vally and I loved it. I loved feeling the burn while climbing it's majestic hills and it's overflowing creeks which would cool you off after hitting the hills. I especially loved the obsticles such has downed trees, wash outs and wet crass which made you work that much harder. I recomend it to all riders not matter your fitness level or abillity.

Recommended Route:
There are lots of routes to choose from, so I sugest you try all of them.
