Summary:
I ride the trails at Rifle River every time I stay at my father-in-law's cabin. Though, not very difficult, they are very pleasant and scenic to ride. Not to mention very quiet! They are well maintained. For a good workout, I will usually ride them 2 or 3 times.

Recommended Route:
Starting at the parking lot to the swimming area, I will ride (per the map numbers) 4-10, 13-17, 19-25. Then I would ride that in reverse back to the parking lot and given my energy level and mood I would re-ride that route. When I get to 25 I will then ride 12, 11, 13, 10-4 and back to the parking lot.

If I am with someone else that isn't as high energy, I wouldn't backtrack. Instead I would ride 4-10, 13-17, 19-25, 12, 11, 13, 10-4 to the parking lot.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Ogemaw Hills Pathway. Only ridden it once, with my wife, and there was logging going on. Seemed like a decent trail. I will be riding it again soon.

Summary:
Well maintained trails. Mix of single track and two track. Swampy areas can be underwater after rain. Flat easy trails. Bugs can be a real problem in humid weather. Lots of wildlife. A nice ride.

Recommended Route:
Any. Get a map at the park entrance off Rose City Road. Trails can also be accessed at Rifle River off Sage Lake Road. Ride north on dirt raod to suspension bridge (point 20 on trail map).

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Ogemaw Hills Pathway
