Cross Country Rider Summary: I love it! Thank you to those who made it! I've been two days in a row. If you are looking for a chalenging ride with the added bonus of boundless views of Lake Charlevoix, then this is the place. Hit the balance beam, carve the turns and smile. Stop and have lunch at Water Street Cafe (they have beer & wine now) après ride...
Another bonus this time of year (nov): no hunters to worry about. I hate Stray bullets! I think the whole area is a town park so hunting is a no-no thank you!
This trail is not for everyone, it's technical and will cause fights with your loved one if she is a novice! ;-) Recommended Route: I start at the right (looking up the mt) and ride counter-clockwise. It's a tuff climb with roots and steep spots but it's do-able all the way. Stop and take in the view from the top, then take the rollercoaster ride down! Do two or three laps and you will be ready for that brew... Other recommended trails in the same area: McSauba is fun if you have limited time, Fisherman's Island State Park (easy; good for that novice girl you love).

Cross Country Rider Summary: Nice trail with some good climbs, tight switch backs, and awesome let it all hang out downhills. Recommended Route: Start at the left of the parking lot, pretty obvious single track. Take every left to the top, this will give you both extra loops. Turn around and head back the way you came up. This will give you +/- 9 miles. To get the full experience head across the parking lot to the steep short climb to the top, 2 big grunts. From the top head back down the same route you originally came up and down on. This gives you the best down hill runs twice and a total of 14.5 miles. Other recommended trails in the same area: Any section of the North Country Trail, Shingle Mill Pathway, High Country Pathway, Boyne Mountain, Boyne Highlands, Hanson Hills.

Cross Country Rider Summary: We rode this trail today and it was fun. It offers some good twisty switchback and a few technical sections as well as a decent climb if you ride the loop backwards(starting on the right side of the parking lot) instead of clockwise. There are a few small jumps and some quick bermed turns that keep you smiling. I personally would not drive to far out of my way for it though becuase of its length and not the trails terrain. ride safe!!

Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail is hands down, my favorite trail of all time. Very challenging uphills and fast sweeping downhills. Very technical at times, and great scenery. The face is always a blast to try to descend, but make sure your brakes are tuned properly!

Cross Country Rider Summary: Hollywood and Tin Man have clearly outdone themselves, they have just added an additional mile to increase the total length of the trail to 5 miles of awesome single track riding. The view at the top is a sight to behold and for the non riders in the group take the stairway to the top .
Try this trail, you will not be disappointed.
