, from Lansing, MI, USA Summary: Bears! Two of them on the section running North of Stuntmanville Road. Scared the crap out of me (and them). Besides that, nice long climb at the start = nice long downhill at the end. I do like the Marilla section better (see the listing for North Country Trail - Manistee). Recommended Route: I started at Kipp Road.

, from Manistee Summary: Very fun. Defenatly worth a trip back. The climb isn't that bad it never gets steep so just keep on going, the trail will reward you for the work(expecialy on the way back). but it's the lung buster of the trail. the trails not extremly technical but if you go fast it gets really fun, you can really let your bike run. It's a good trail because all skill levels can have fun. Recommended Route: out and back Other recommended trails in the same area: anything just get on your bike.

Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Traverse City, MI Summary: This is a great trail for intermediate to expert riders. The amount of hills and close proximity of trees make is a toughie for beginners. VERY long hill about 1.2 miles into the trail system, followed by some nice rolling single track. Many of the hills near the beginning are rewarded with excellent high speed sections further down the trail. Markings tend to be often and easy to read, although going early in the spring can get you lost when leaves obscure the trail. Highly recommended for those that love a good singletrack trail! Recommended Route: Do not follow directions at top of page, Chadderdon Rd is a muddy two track most cars will have difficulty driving on. Other recommended trails in the same area: Boyne Mountain XC trail in Boyne Falls, (home of the MMBA championships) and Wildwood XC ski trail system.
