Ridden Trail: Once a month

Cross Country Rider Summary: Some very pretty single track. Most of the single track is smooth and flowy with no big climbs. However, The trails added in 2007 are very much 'all mountain', off camber, up and down trail that had me walking through some of the more technical sections.
If you like biking along white water and lakes and deer, then you will certainly like these trails Recommended Route: I always start from the Swedetown chalet and bike down towards Lake Superior/M203. But you can start at the M203 just down the road from Mclean State Park Other recommended trails in the same area: Tech trails, Maasto/churning rapids, Copper Harbor (very challenging)

Cross Country Rider Summary: These trails are great fun! It is really nice to see people making the effort to put networks or areas of single track together like the Swedetown Trails. There is about 15 - 20 miles of sweet, relatively not real technical single track trails built in and around cross country ski and snowshoe trails. The woods of da U.P. are very nice and these trails twist through them very nicely. There is a little mild up and down nature to all the trails and they are great for hammerin (watch for other riders though!). I rode with a beginner and she loved it out there. The trails are easy to get to from US 41 or M 203 and the map is excellent. In short, these trails are great for all wanting a nice twisty ride through the forested, beautious forest of the North. Recommended Route: Every trail section was great. Do it all! Other recommended trails in the same area: Michigan Tech trails, stuff around Copper Harbor, and Grand Island
