Cross Country Rider Summary: Privatly owned, all voluteer grounds crew, $2 riding fee, & challenging course adds up to one of the absolute best trails for serious riders in lower Michigan. If these trails are'nt good enough... quit your whining! You live in Michigan, not Utah! Recommended Route: The whole thing! Other recommended trails in the same area: There are none thanks to our DNR!

Cross Country Rider Summary: Well, where do I start... Ruby Campground is under new management and they're excited about bringing in riders. In fact they are a stop on the NORBA points series this year. Also there could possibly be a 12 hour race held there, nothing set in stone as of this review, oh the review... technical, tight, lots of climbing, kind of an all work no play situation. It is fun though. Some changes this year to the layout and relatively short at 4 miles or so, but worth the ride when the conditions are dry. And night rides are allowed but you might want to contact me about the particulars. Many thanks to Dave at the Bike Barn and all the guys from there and Alpine Cycles who help maintain the trails.

Weekend Warrior Summary: I have developed a love/hate relationship with this trail over the years. Probably the most technical trail I've ridden, take your attention off the trail for a second and kiss a tree! The "outhouse hill" is a must, good climbs, a screaming downhill on the wet side of Mill Creek are highlights of this ride. Thanks to Dave at the BFB in Port Huron for all the work he puts into this trail!

Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from L.O. Summary: Some challenging climbs and neat descents. The Outhouse Drop is intimidating-looking from the top. Just don't look at that tree! You will hit it. Ruby makes a fun racecourse with two water crossings per lap. I only ride it a few times per year, as it is out of my way. I find it to be a fun change from the normal Metro-area trails. Recommended Route: Byan, were you lost? Did you just ride laps of the pond? Lots of climbs and short, steep descents. Visit the campground office and get a map. Other recommended trails in the same area: PLRA, Highland, Holdridge

Ridden Trail: Once a year

Reviewed by: Bryan Summary: This trail doesn't do it for me. The track is mostly flat except for a couple short hills. All the hills are easily rideable. A couple of the downhills are a little loose because of the sand, but they are no problem for experienced riders. Other recommended trails in the same area: Three stages (Collingwood,ON), Hardwood Hills (Barrie,ON),
