, from Lake Orion Summary: I ride couple times a week pulling my 3yr old daughter. Going to Rochester is not bad at a good pace. Coming back, You do not see the elevation change, but you climb 350+ ft. over a 5 mile stretch. A hidden training burn. Smiles all the way. It can be as easy or as touph as you make it. Go ahead and push yourself. You will have numb legs, especially if you do like me and pull an extra 35 lbs behind you. There are many spots to stop and inhale nature, and share with a impresionable child. All Positive.... Recommended Route: Start at corner of Lapeer (M-24) & Atwater in Lake Orion. Other recommended trails in the same area: Holdridge, Pontiac Lake, Highland, Bald Mt.

, from Rochester Summary: This is the first time I have ridden in many years so this was a good place to start. I live very close to the trail and had never been on it - so I figured it was time. I didn't really like the way the trail ended in Lake Orion. . .I wasn't sure if I had reached the end or not. . .basically it ends in the parking lot of a pizza shop. I would think the city there would want to make something out of the trail . . . but I guess not. Recommended Route: I went from Rochester Municipal Park to Lake Orion and Back. Other recommended trails in the same area: I am going to try the rest of Paint Creek (south or rochester next).

Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Lake Orion Summary: Really nice to ride on, and it gives you just enough of a work out. Riding down 4 or 5 miles and back, great for exercise, and is nice to stop and sit at the edge of the trail, or on one of the benches, and just relax to the sound of the creek and the animals. Even easy accessable from Paint Creek Ridge Subdivision, making it a nice bike ride for the entire family, as long as little ones don't mind riding a distance. The little ponds along the way make a great resting place for kids to stop and learn about wild life (such as fish and frogs and toads). Recommended Route: To go from (roughly) down town Lake Orion to the cidermill and back. Start from either behind the old Marco's pizza place, or from Clarkston and Kern roads. Other recommended trails in the same area: Great place to go and hang out with friends. Nice distances, and great views for the ride!!!!
