Mount Bohemia Trail
2 reviews
 4 of 5

The trail cuts uphill to the northeast. About 0.5 miles in (and 200 feet higher) the trail throws a branching trail to the right which winds sharply uphill around the north side of Mount Bohemia to the summit. This branch rises 400 feet in 0.75 miles where it ends. Mount Bohemia Trail continues northeast and north 2 miles and joins the Mandan Trail where the Mandan crosses the Montreal River near its western trail head.

Summary:
Attention: Mt. Bohemia is currently under attack by a sleazy developer who wants to put in condos and the usual social detritus. Help us keep it open and "Keep It the Keweenaw" Please visit www.keweenawtoday.com to see an online newspaper for our area and learn what's taking place and how you can help. This is a fine technical step trail and adjacent to many great rides, so just come on up and visit, and know that you're welcomed by all of us 'Yoopers' who love real sport.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Our area has awesome mining roads, abandoned rail grades, logging roads and great two tracks. It is a mtn bike paradise and needs only more fat tire flyers to OWN it..I mean, get those friggin' crotch rockets opf the brain dead --aka, 4-wheelers, 3-wheelers and sno-mo-suckin'-bills-- OUT of here! two wheels rule.

Reviewed by: Charles Buck , from Hancock

Summary:
This is a rocky double track trail with a big climb factor. The fork to the summit of Mount Bohemia is rocky and very technical, essentially a downhill with a die-if-you-leave-the-trail drop off along the side. It also includes one nasty big mud hole near the top.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
High Rock Trail, Keystone Bay Trail, Horseshoe Harbor Trail, Smith's Fishery Trail
