Weekend Warrior Summary: Reviewing previous posts, I believe that the trail has significantly changed over the years. I have ridden the trail since ~97, and the 2007 version is much improved. The trail is constantly revised (even in May this year) to avoid overly rutted areas and keep the trail fresh. I have also not had a problem with too many people on the trail; on a perfect day, I might pass a couple of riders.
As stated below, this is a tight, technical trail. You will not be going in one direction for any significant period of time, and speeds will be moderate over many uphill and downhill sections.
A number of obstacles have been added to the sides of trail as 'go for it' expert sections. These include rockpiles and stacks of logs. They are all marked, and you can bypass them if you're not interested.
2-3 laps are ideal for a good workout, and the closeness to Detroit makes it easy to have an after-work ride, or morning ride on a weekend when an all-day event isn't possible.
I think this trail is perfect for once-a-week riders with limited free time. Recommended Route: There is only one branch - the 'winter bypass' or the expert loop. I have never taken the 'winter bypass', and the expert loop has easy tracks beside all of the obstacles, so I recommend the expert loop.

Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail is possibly on of my favorite trails that I’ve ridden. It is a Quite Technical Trail that offers riders of all levels to enjoy. There are defiantly a lot of ruts and there sections that are quite challenging. The trial is just over 4.5 miles long but there are only two sections that you get momentum going so you’re pedaling the whole trail. All it got to say is its fun.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Please, learn the name--its MayBURY not MayBERRY. This is not a kids cereal, it's a state park--big sign, as you enter!
Enough of my rant.
Wonderful little trail. I've ridden it for years and after dropping several pounds, I find it even easier with practice, although if you do not stay in practice, this trail can be a challenge.
When in good shape, I can ride it three or four times, but then I get bored, so I don't do that too often. I like to do it twice--once to warm up and twice to have a good ride. The third time would be counter-productive. Recommended Route: Park at the 8 mile entrance and proceed to the trail. Alternatively, you can park at the Beck Road entrance and ride into the trail at the opposite end. Take your pick. I find the 8 Mile entrance is more appealing. Other recommended trails in the same area: Pontiac Lake, Island Lake, Brighton, Poto.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Trail has been modified again and a little bit longer than the time it was modified. This trail is becoming more interesting considering it is very close to my work and were I live. Likewise, it is becoming to be more popular as I see more riders at any day of the week. I have a better work out here than at Island Lake and Novi Tree Farm. If you like Pontiac Trail, this is like a shorter version of it. Three rounds of this trail gives you a good workout. Other recommended trails in the same area: Island Lake (Yellow Trail)
Pontiac Trail
Wilson Lake at Brighton (Not Torn Shirt)
Novi Tree Farm

Weekend Warrior Summary: Well, I read many of the reviews and had to check it out. As I usually ride more for exercise than torture, the first signs of trouble came as I dumped it turning off the paved walk/bike trail on the loose gravel at the start of the "Yellow" twisty, rooty and rocky section. Fortunately, I've had enough workouts up to this point that I didn't totally get crushed. There are rest stops along this section, mainly at the peaks of the tougher uphills. It is tight with lots of roots and rocks strategically placed right in the middle of the steepest downhill turns. Be careful. I readily let a number of more experienced riders by as the trail does have some areas to pull off...but not many. Since this was only my first ride here and since this was my first real ride with some technical difficulty, I bailed at the 1.5 mile mark. After reviewing the maps later in the day, I see that the first section is clearly the toughest and tightest...at least it looks that way on the map the guard gives you. Overall, I would say that if you ride this trail often you'll gain experience and knowledge where each and every little rock and root lives. If you are in the least bit apprehensive or have not ridden a lot to get conditioned, you'll probably walk more than ride...at least the first section of the trail. I will ride this again..now that I know what to expect. Recommended Route: Experienced Rider: Start of the Yellow trail...
Non-Experienced Rider: Start at the 1.5 mile mark, it does not appear nearly as technical or tight. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lower Huron (Paved), Willow (Paved), Paint Creek (Crushed Stone - Railbed)
