Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail is best riden with a road bike. The most refined and smooth trail in Michigan, the best part is the quasi-jump in the parking lot. Honestly, my carbon Zurich has riden it twice! Recommended Route: Loop the yellow. Blue is sandy and offers very little flow. Other recommended trails in the same area: Pontiac Lake, Highland Rec,

Weekend Warrior Summary: Blue: Very Sandy at the corner of turns and base of climbs. Recommended Route: For an advanced rider, ride it for aerobic and Fun.
For a Beginer, its not bad, but youll get the taste for what a harder trail takes to get through. Other recommended trails in the same area: Poto, Novi, Pont. Lake, etc. etc. etc.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Fast and relatively long--an hour of a good cross country ride and some single track. It's what I would consider one of the beginner places, since a lot of the trail is open cross country track. Recommended Route: Blue then yellow. Blue is relatively flat and fast. Yellow is a bit more in the woods. Other recommended trails in the same area: Poto, Maybury, Brighton, Highland, Pontiac Lake

Cross Country Rider Summary: Fast and fun trail, well marked. A few tachnical spots with short climbs and downhills. This is a well maintained trail with that gets used. After work and Sat/Sun mornings are busy. Recommended Route: There are two loops that can be ridden together. The blue route is the longer and easier of the two. The yellow route is shorter and a bit more difficult. Other recommended trails in the same area: If you get a 1/2 day, make sure your bike is in good shape, pack some food and hit the Potowatami Trail near Dexter/Pinckney, MI

Weekend Warrior Summary: other than Lisa from warren who apparently should be ridding a pro circuit somewhere, Island lake is a great place to ride. There are plenty of good riders (not to include myself) who really press through these trails. It is a great place to practice skills and just ride hard. There is enough challenge to keep it interesting for everyone. Plus there is a great "swimming hole" in spring mill pond just up the path from the trail head. you will pass it on the right along the blue trail. In the heat of summer the beach is always full. The course is always WELL maintained and it is a great place to ride so long as your ego can fit in your helmet. I am in pretty good shape overall with a greater emphasis on weight lifting than riding but use this trail to get cardio work. The better shape you are in, the harder you ride. I have ridden Colorado Springs and AZ in a few spots and this trail is just more fun if you enjoy it for the ride. Recommended Route: Blue then yellow, then blue or yellow if you are up to it. Any combo can please every level Other recommended trails in the same area: Poto is tough and technical in my opinion but a fun ride
