High Rock Trail

 4 of 5

High Rock Trail skirts around the north side of Schlatter Lake, and emerges on the Lake Superior shore at High Rock Bay near the rocky easternmost extent of the peninsula. As you head out the trail stay left on the first two forks after Schlatter Lake, then take the last fork right.

Summary:
This trail is double track with packed dirt and sees light 4x4 traffic. Shortly after the trail head, the trail goes down over some rough washout and through a stream crossing just below a beaver dam. The trail is very wet with dozens of trail wide puddles, but there is no soft mud. There are a couple technical climbs.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Horseshoe Harbor Trail, Keystone Bay Trail, Smith's Fishery Trail, Mount Bohemia Trail
