Weekend Warrior Summary: Great trail for an average ride. Nothing to difficult... unless you ride right along the river on some non-designated trails, thats where the fun is. This is a great trail though. Very well maintained and well used. Many people use these trails so make some friends. Recommended Route: Ride them all and find your favorite. I like to Make the figure 8 in the clockwise direction sticking to the trails designated red or yellow.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Burchfield is a great trail for a beginner or anyone not experienced with riding stunts. The stunts are at a level so that you can try all of them even if you have no experience (after two sessions there I made it over every one), but they stay fun since there are some harder lines. They could really improve by adding some bigger dirt jumps (and of course more stunts). The designers have really made the most of the terrain they had to work with. The trail usually stays pretty dry. Recommended Route: Start off of Nichols road and ride the south part of the advanced trail. This side is shorter and starts with a nice warmup trail. From there you can keep going south on some beginner trails or turn north and go back to the longer advanced section. Other recommended trails in the same area: Brighton

Weekend Warrior Summary: I am new to riding(6 months)so i can not say that i have a lot of trails to compare this one to but i love riding hear. I ride this trail at least 3 times a week. When i rode it for the frist time i road all the trails i did not do all the obsticles but there are bypass's on all of them which is nice when you are learning. As i become a better rider i wish that the trail had more jumps and bigger hills. The rock garden's are sweet and there is some pretty big jumps. Recommended Route: Start at riverbend i allways start hear and go north on the blue trail till you get to swamp thing if you are new to this trail do not worry this is far from a advanced trail there is on large fallen tree to go over and a fun tetter at the end. It may take a long time to tell you the the route i take but i start this way because it is very easy biking and a good way to warm up the legs for the other trails. When you are done with swamp thing make sure at the end you go straight and stay on the advanced trails(once again this is far from advanced i did all this the frist time i came hear at the end of this trail there is some very fun rock gradens.Follow the blue trail all the way around and when you end up back at riverbend you a gone about 4.5 miles of easy flat riding. Now just go south east and there are a lot of fun trails out this way. Randy's maze is on of my favorits and at the end annies's playhouse. Other recommended trails in the same area: There is no trails in the lansing area that even come close to burchfield unless you like riding on pavment.

Downhiller Summary: kinda small im used to marquette with 12 foot drops and 15 foot high stunts. dirt jumps are tiny, dragons back is the hardest one and its easy, but its good to ride if your not very good or bored, but if youre a trail builder, build more please, dont want to be rude, but if you want some hardcore guys, get some big dops and 15-18 foot dirt jumps.still, this trail is well built and good for beginners to learn. its also fun to try crazy stuff like manuals and tricks on ladders because its so low and unintimidating. Recommended Route: the one with jumps

Cross Country Rider Summary: Best trails in the Lansing area. There are lots of stunts and a few smaller jumps to play on. Some rock crawls to ride over too. Great trail to work on your skills. Recommended Route: You have to do the advanced trail or it's no fun at all. Other recommended trails in the same area: Well, there aren't really any trails nearby, but yankee springs over in kalmazoo is one of my favorites. Eventually I hope to open a sweet trail with some crazy stunts up in bath (about 20 minutes north of holt), but that won't be for a while, unless the city or someone wants to make it a park, then I'll hurry it up.
