Wilbraham Trail

Average Rating:    (4.25 of 5)

This trail is technical, but is easy enough so that anyone could do it. There is a lot of singletrack downhill and only a little climbing. There are also lots of side trails that you could take if you were feeling like it

Trail Directions
Come off Boston Road, (Route 20) and go up Mountain Road to Glendale Rd. Take a left onto Glendale and go up the long driveway that is on the left. It is in between the second and third house. Go up the driveway until you get to the garage. Go right up the steep hill and pretty much go straight until you see a big rock. If you look, going off to the left of the rock, you should be able to see a trail. Take it

Summary:
trails consist of logging rds. and ATV track that are fairly smooth but some good climbing can be had.
Note: this area is being developed and homes have been put in. some trails have been eliminated! Like the Jagged Rock trails in Hampden MA this area is Private Property. This area doesn't see much use and the trails are fairly overgrown. This is a really small area that only covers a few miles of trail (less than 2 mi.) and I have explored for more on many occasions.

Recommended Route:
the Best way in is from the east slope to the top and proceed southerly.

Other recommended trails in the same area:

Summary:
I liked the technicalness of this trail. Certain parts were tricky to maneuver through. Whether it was ruts, roots, or rocks, it was tricky handling. It was fun though, and not hard enough that a beginner couldn't do it

Recommended Route:
Down all the way...and fast!
