Northfield Mountain

Northfield mountain is owned by Northeast ultilities. The trails are well marked and a pretty good map is available at the HQ building if so desired. Lots of fast wide trails with plenty of lung busting uphills, and fast downhills. There are a few single track trails that can be fun. Good place for all levels of riders. However, the trails need to be mainted better in certain areas.

Getting to the top can be work, but the down hills are worth it. Once you are at the top you can cut back and forth across the entire mountain with minimal uphill. For the price (free) a definite place to try. Most trails are well marked and fairly wide, with grass/gravel. No real techical stuff.
