Cross Country Rider Summary: Unlike the first two reviewers, I'm not 12 y. old. Being a local bike mechanic and an avid MTB'er, I know my fair share of local trails. This is not a trail, this is a few dirt paths with a log. I've ridden there purposely just to find something that I may have missed the time before. Nothing. There is a section where I can push my bike to 'bout 28mph, but only for about 3-5 seconds depending on my determination. Then I have to stop at the bottom, ride around some suburban Newton snob with 5 dogs, and thats usually around the time I say "&^% this", and leave. Oh yeah, the "dirt jumps" are pathetic. they simply aren't jumpable. There is a root section, a 5 ft. down, then the jump. It's like a small dirty half-pipe, and your supposed to get "air" off of it, This place sucks, go somewhere else. Recommended Route: Don't bother coming here. Other recommended trails in the same area: Naked Man, Noanet/Dover trails, Needham Forest.

Racer Summary: I wish I had two more hands so I could give this trail FOUR THUMBS DOWN. I don't care what your ability level is, beginner or not, this place sux! You can ride the whole thing in about 15 mins. You'll have more fun riding in downtown traffic with two flats and no seat.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Simple review: Don't waste your time if you live any more than five miles from this trail. It's fine if you just feel like spinning your wheels a little bit, but it's basically a town park. It's ideal if you want to go walk your dog, but if you're any more advanced than a kid riding your BMX bike, this place is just too small. In the middle of Newton, you ride a quarter mile and you're coming into someone elses backyard. There are some little hills that can challenge your skills, balance, lungs and muscle endurance to stay on your bike all the way up. The end result is reaching the top, making a turn and riding down another trail adjacent to the one you were just on. Bottom line, don't make a trip here if it's going to be a trip.
