Trek Sturbridge - Leadmine Rd.
1 reviews
 4 of 5

Park at 197 Leadmine Rd. Sturbridge, MA 01566. This is the Trek Sturbridge trailhead with plenty of parking which is located up the hill from Old Sturbridge Village. Enter the trails from the parking lot (don't cross the street), head down the fire road and bear right until you see blue blazes. The blue blaze trail is a great loop to start on which links up to other doubletrack and singletrack trails. If you eventually dump out into a large field, head to the back of the field and cross the stream, shoot uphill and there is a very old horse stable at the top, very cool. The best trail on the land is a ridge trail that is a bit tough to find. Keep exploring to find more trails and watch out for swampy areas.

Regular group rides are posted by Central Mass Fat Tire Club (link below) or you can email doomridermtb@gmail.com to set up a led ride.

Summary:
Town owned land that has multi-use trails open to the community. Trails are best ridden in dry weather. Easy to navigate, some marked trails - blue loop and white loop. Those are good places to start, from there you can explore and find hidden singletrack. If you end up behind Old Sturbridge Village, turn around! They don't appreciate bikes cutting through and that won't help the MTB community.

Recommended Route:
Blue or White Blazes, then explore from there.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Jack's Gas Trails, Tantasqua Jr. High, Brimfield State Forest.
