Summary:
We went up teh power line trail off 119 and bombed down the Midstate to teh Wapack. Good times. I'd like to go back and bomb down the ski run though...

Recommended Route:
We went up the power line trail off 119. It's the quickest way and by far the steepest. It's all about carting your bike up as quickly as posible. there are otehrs-the midstate off 119 and others lised on other reviews.

Summary:
There are a multitude of ways to get up this mountain. If you approach from the south the parking area for most of the hikers is a good place to start. Another good starting point is from a fire road which is behind an old farm before the main gate. The last one seems the most gentle but the washout from the spring runoff has made this part of the trail hazardous. The same can be said for the old logging trails they are washed out loose rock and stumps and roots. The climb is strenuous but it feels so good when you fly back down. I highly recommend doing these trails at least aacouple times. Come back in the winter hike up and ski/board down.

Recommended Route:
Enter across the highway from Blueberry Hill area of fitchburg sporstsmans club. It is off of Stowell Rd in Ashburnham. (lots of trails to be explored in that little area)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Hager park(westminster) Leom. SF, Burbank, Midstate trail Princeton, and Ashburnham, Townsend SF, Willard Brook SF, PEarl Hill. Wachusett(tons of great trails around the mountain)

Summary:
There isn't really a good way to ride up this- all routes are steep and technical. You'll most likely have to do a fair amount of pushing, but the reward is being able to BOMB down the ski run- sort of a jeep road straight down- maybe 600 vertical feet. sick downhill- you can rip- bring your full suspension bike!

Recommended Route:
Up, up, up and then down, down, down.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
leominister state forest, groton town forest, nashoba- many others
