Weekend Warrior Summary: This trail is great the downhill sections are very fast and there are a lot of rocks so it hops you up and down but if you have a bike that you know how to use with some good shocks it is good and fun. One thing to tell you is that the more frequent riders that I talk to have gone thru multiple bikes because of trees jumps and rocks. do not let that discourage you thou it is a great ride oh yeah wear pants or else your legs will be bleeding from the low branches whipping you as you go down. the starting hill sucks thou Recommended Route: go to 128 Cedar St, Milford, MA which is a Wendy's and go into the parking lot next to it and take the trail that can be accessed if you go to the tree line and follow that and get onto the bike trail and go right and cross the highway so that you go under the two bridges and then follow the dirt trail along the highway and cross the highway when you line up with the steel gate on the other side of the Highway and go up and follow the trail up until you get to the Milford bike kiosk. Other recommended trails in the same area: the Milford bike trail it is a great warm down trail after Vietnam and there are a couple of good side trails and jumps on the sides.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Lots of trails. The entrance is a PITA to find the first time if you're just going in on your own. Dirty little secret and TNT have some of the coolest built stunts I've seen in person. They are not that hard, and well built, so IMHO they aren't that hard to ride, most of the rock jumps are built like a snowpark tabletop, you can jump if you go fast enough, or just roll it if jumping seems too sketchy (I know I roll most of em). The drops have nice landings built up. I agree that lining the trail with rocks seems a bit extreme, but I also see no other way of keeping this a singletrack without them, the trail braiding and ridearounds would just take over everything. I noticed every local I saw had knee/shin guards on.
For those of you who are thinking, OK this place is not for me, keep in mind that the two trails mentioned above are probably about a mile out of 20-30 miles of trails. Most of the northern trails are doubletrack, and the rest of the southern web of trails is typical NE singletrack, as in rocky, rooty, sometimes swampy technical stuff.
The power lines are full of fun rocks to roll, and the 495 trail has some great technical stuff, some hike-a bike not so fun stuff, I try to find my way in at the top, but sometimes get mixed up and have to hike.
Overall a great place to ride with lots of variety and more stunts and drops than the average riding spot. Access is a PITA, especially at first, but once you figure it out it's not so bad and definitely worth the small hassle.
Recommended Route: Here is a link to the Nemba map. Think about joining.

Easton - Borderlands State Forest

Weekend Warrior Summary: I started rinding this trail about 7 years ago. It was always overgrown, but fun abd technical. Since all the fires and the great job by NEMBA in purchasing the land.
This trail system is probably the best I have ridden in a long time, since coming back from Arizona riding Mormon/National trail on South Mountain.
There are some really tough sections in the area, some are ridable after a few runs and some are far more difficult. The previous reviewer complained about markings and wanting to build up the trail over the sharp rocks. Screw that!! ride thru it. I hate it when people want to make trail easier. If you can't ride thru it try again. if not walk it and figure it out next time.
This trail system is awesome. Sure I can't ride everything but I make new sections every time I ride there. Can't wait to ride this at night!! Recommended Route: Ride down rt. 85 abd hook up with the fire road right after the guard rails. Ride the FR fro about 200 yards and take a right. Then just ride take what ever turn you want. at some point you'll make it to the power lines. Just ride!! Other recommended trails in the same area: The Fells - just started riding it this year. great ride.
Foxboro State Forest - Rocky but lots of fun!!

Cross Country Rider Summary: Spent Sunday afternoon riding at Vietnam and I have to say that I am not all that impressed. Many people set expectations very high and it really didn’t live up to it. To start, I had a difficult time finding the entrance that NEMBA suggested, so I wandered up the power lines and located the NEMBA area. The area was only partially marked with trail flow (Drop Zones were well marked, but trail flow and directions were not very well marked). I was disappointed to that the folks at NEMBA have really made some bad decisions on lining most of the single track with rocks. I am not sure who made this call, but it is not very smart/safe. The trail network itself was well maintained but how about using logs and braches to line the trails as sharp rocks are not very forgiving. Legal access to the area could be better marked and posted so that land abutters do not push to stop all access. If you are looking to ride the same loop and take the same handful of drops then this place would be great for you. Ended up having to ride a bunch of 4-wheeler/ATV trails trying to find the correct entrance and that was just frustrating to deal with the motorized folks (no offense to them…). Maybe I need to explore more of the non-NEMBA trails in the area as they might have more to offer. Just my 2 cents…

Cross Country Rider Summary: UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW
I hadn't checked the NEMBA site and didn't realize they had other access points to the trails, I followed a copule other riders I saw when I arrived.
Don't follow my directions, the entrance to the trails is further down Rte85, don't park where I did.
OOOPPPPSS! Recommended Route: Check nemba.org for more & better info
