Summary:
Well Boys & Girls ,the golf course is finished & they did take lots of our good trails. The good news is that the Mahoneys -Mattapoisett trail area is better than ever ! Some people have done lots of work in there .A new ,large "freeride playground " is in place & new XC trails have been cut .There is something here for everyone. Singletrack ,stunts ,lots of it, You name it. This is the best kept secret on the South Coast of Ma.I have been riding here for years ,a few times a week & hardly ever see other riders ,only tracks .Hope I havent screwed things up ,but come & enjoy it . Note ..aerobic difficulty is controled by how fast you ride !You can BOMB or BOP

Recommended Route:
Rt 185 ,Exit 19A ,Left at industrial park .go to the end & park.ride down the old railroad bed & take single track off either side.freeride Park is on the left side ,over the powerline & cell phone tower clearing. The "Stone Garden" trail is also on this cleared sec.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Explore the whole sec.You can ride in here for hours & hook up with the Independance Park trail in Marion too. you can come out at the Wave Rest. ,make a left on Rt 105 & a right at the park.

Summary:
these trails wind around each other,, there is some nice briges a wooden brige drop and 4 see saws. one of them is insanly high like 7 feet...u ride up a rock that is 7 foot high rock and ride straight on to this huge plank that bends down (this is for very skilled riders). theis some rocks u ride up and have to ride them down and they are preety steep goin down. also there is a new playground. you gotta ride up a 6 inch wide board that goes onto a rock 3 feet high ..then an0other board goes on to a skinny fallen tree that has the top slight flatened(this tree is dangerous when wet and is about 3 feet off the ground then after u ride the tree for 10 feet u take a 90 degree turn down to flat ground then 10 feet later ride up a 4 foot high rock on a skinny brige... than a long wide brige rides down and u have to do a drop to the regular trail (the drop is like 2 feet) nice aye!! thhes trails kick go ride them

Recommended Route:
i really ride this every 2 days....go down the industrail park and go down the fire road and then go up a single track hill on the right and thats where the fun starts

Other recommended trails in the same area:
all of them in mattaposeet and a little in marion

Summary:
if you like the trails right off the road of the industrial park, try the entrance to the trails behind old rochester high school, also, across from the new century 21 building, there is an entrance with some twisty single track, this will bring you to the water tower, or towards marion.

Recommended Route:
easiest way is throught the industrial park entrance, but there are trails that lead to those woods all over mattapoisett and marion, the next town over.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
only one tidbit of advice, start in the morning, because it is very easy to take a wrong turn and head into another town, these trails could be ridden every day for a month, and you will always find something new.
