Ridden Trail: Once a week

Downhiller Summary: Not the smoothest ride overall, but a pretty diverse set of trail types. I have been through just about all the park and continue to find new routes and combinations. It is classic New England terrain, but is large enough to keep you interested for a long while.
Get a trail map and stay to the eastern side of the park (fire road). These trails are most oriented to bikes, although just out the unmarked parking lot is a series of trails that are worth a spin through on the way in or out.
Lots of climbing and a mixture of quick downhills and rough slower crawls through some rocky terrain. It will overall keep your fitness level challenged and your eyes wide open. Recommended Route: Head out the unmarked parking lot near mile marker 43 and up the fire road. Turn right onto Rocky Pond...then left at the first trailhead. It is a short whip through that rolls and turns through some fast trails. It brings you back to the fire road. Head up and over the summit until you come to Fenton Road. Just before Fenton look to the right and you will see a trailhead in some cut down trees. Follow to the end and then cut across. This brings you near mamoth brook. Anyway you follow through is fun, but keep turning left and eventually you will end up back on Parmeter or Fenton. Head back to the fireroad and then down Hell's highway to Wolf Road Road. Follow the signs to the Wolf's Den and then follow the ledge to the far end. Enter the trail downward. It winds and turns for a bit through some really rocky areas and some pine forested single track. At the end ride over the stone wall and turn left. The final spot to visit is the park area at the south end of paradise alley. There are some small pits and jumps. If you can head down from the Wolf's Den, it is a steep rocky ride down, but has a quick trail that leads to the park.

Downhiller Summary: There's a decent assortment of trails here though most are fairly beginner level and some are hikers only. Network crosses a dirt road where an old fire trail provides some length. There are some decent drops nearer to the water where I saw a bunch of trout rising...The park provides decent enough technical riding, but not enough downhill for to keep this guy interested. All in all Leominster State Park can be crowded at the worst of times (see weekends) and a decent workout at the best of times. Recommended Route: From Boston head west on Rt 2 through Leominster to Route 31 Exit. Take a left at the end of the ramp and procede south on rt 31. Stop at the state forest building on your right and grab a trail map. Continue on Rt 31 past the main entrance, and the picnic area. You will see a ruddy dirt road entrance on your left. This is Parmenter road. Ride down parmenter road past the pond on your left. At the top of the hill take a left. Look for a trail into the woods on your right

Weekend Warrior Summary: A few friends and I rode here yesterday for the first time in about a year and took the time to explore. It was well worth it. There is some tremendous New England Style singletrack in there. Rocky, rooty and full of obstacles to suprise you around every corner. NEMBA has also done a terrific job maintaining the trails, bridging the nasty wet spots and armoring the hillsides.
Definitely get a trail map and plan on riding for 3+ hours if you really want to use the place to its potential. Yes there if plenty of fireroad, for better or worse, but some great singletrack makes up for it. Bring plenty of water and plenty of bug spray. Recommended Route: Hit the Rocky Pond Trail that goes up Bald Hill. Its a burner on the way up the downhill on the otherside is beautiful. Some of the routes off Parmenter St. are also nice, but very buggy.

Racer Summary: I was in the area and looking for a place to ride so decided to go here and was great. have no complaints. my idea of a good place is you can get on your bike and find good riding without much effort. not much climbing but good technical trails. so you can be assured that you'll be satisfied if you take the gamble and try it. I parked at the lot on rt31 overlooking the pond. Recommended Route: rode for 3 hours and 28miles and have no idea where I was and had difficulty getting out. try starting at the pond parking(not the large beach parking) right off the road, go across bridge and take small trail along pond. you'll find them from there.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Good ride-you can spend as much time as you'd like here, but I only had a few hours. Trails are well-maintained and they are obvious mountain biking trails. A real pleasure to ride. Lots of hills/rocks/stumps etc, but you cna avoid them and if not that's fun too. I can see this becoming a trai lI frequent often and I reecommend it to beginners-to intermediate bikers. Recommended Route: I took teh wolfpack trail and sort of picked my way here and there. Just park and go. Other recommended trails in the same area: Watatic-difficult
Willard Brook
Burbank
Various trails in Ashburnham
