Cross Country Rider Summary: Tons to see and do, as easy or challenging as you wish. I have been riding back here for about 3 years and each time I go I find something new to try. There are tons and tons of trails on either side of 128, you just need to keep your eyes open for them. Big rocks, little rocks, roots, logs, streams, mud, rocky outcrops, it is all there. Recommended Route: Route 22 to Chebacco rd. about 1/10th of a mile on the right there is a trail head, (it is marked as private property, that is only true on the right side of the trail. After about 500 yards bear left to a double, where that ends take a left then look for another trail head immediately on your right, that is a single which parallels the fire rd. As that ends take a left and head towards the water, pass the pond on your right, stay right and you will end up behind Gordon College, look for trails on your right (as described in others entries). Once you end on Pine St. if you are up for more cross the street, next to the swamp and you will find a path that takes you to some really cool trails.

Racer Summary: this place very acceptable for a good ride. we went here after doing the Cyclocross race in Gloucster and it was perfect for the fried legs. we surprisingly were able to find lots of slower technical trails(perfect) and were a good challenge. it wasn't all tech stuff though. there was some easy double track but not much climbing at all.
I'd do it again. Recommended Route: have no idea. I was lucky to find what I did.

, from Beverly, MA Summary: Very technical and steep in some places. Thick forest canopy can keep you cool during those hot, humid summers. You can have hours of fun over here. Spend time to familiarize yourself with the trails. Recommended Route: Start at Chebacco Woods main entrance. Get map at entrance to orient yourself (or download these maps: http://www.gordon.edu/campus/physplant/safety/trail_map.html) Then find your way to Gull Pond and to the main fire road that leads you away from Gordon College. After the left bend on that fire road, keep your eyes open to your right for a trail with a steep ascent. Go up this trail and have fun! If you found the same trail as I did, you would end up at the Pine Street exit (Exit 16) of Rte. 128. You can double your fun by backtracking on the trail, or follow the gravel road from Exit 16, back to the Chebacco Woods main entrance. Other recommended trails in the same area: Bradley Palmer State Park, Willowdale State Forest, Lynn Woods
