Cross Country Rider Summary: There are MANY trails of varying types. They are not kept up to pristine condition, but I myself try to get out there and at least clear out the unpassable deadfalls. There is some very long and challenging climbs out here and you'll definately feel it at the end of this ride. The previous reviewers are probably not aware of all the inter-twining trails, but it's well worth riding.Hope this helps get more riders out there to keep those trails clear.Oh,and by the way....there IS more than what you see on the TOPO. Recommended Route: For a good GPS 18 mile loop,go to "teambums.com",click on "ride maps" on the home page, then select "brimfield"..you should be able to print out this map.The little 'balloon string' at the left side of the map is only the lead from a private home we started at,so just ride the loop itself. Other recommended trails in the same area: Douglas state forest-Douglas,MA . West Millbury,MA . Rayburn-Millbury,MA

, from Worcester Summary: 1) Follow the signs from route 20 for the SF & Dean Pond Rd. There's a couple small places to park on the left. There's a bunch of trails here, but they aren't that good. Steep climbs, not very exciting downhills. 2) From rt 20, take a right onto dearth hill. Up at the top of the hill is a park station. I guess all the "good" trails are supposed to be up there, but I didn't find much. There's a lot of "no trespassing" areas that I didn't investigate. All in all, wasn't worth the drive down from Worcester, wasn't worth the derailler hanger I bent on on one of the many sticks littering the trails. Sections of this place look like the forest is dying with all the downed trees.

, from W Brookfield Summary: This is a place you take your kids for a nature hike. I was bored to tears on my bike. The guys who rated this gave it way too many tire treads which sparked my curiosity in the first place. Luckily I am close by and it did not waste much of my time. So if you live far away, do not make the trek. Recommended Route: Well, this place sucks but if you do decide to go do not follow the directions given mtbr or whom ever gave above. They are wrong. Check with a local bike shop. Other recommended trails in the same area: None

, from Monson, MA, USA Summary: This place is great for beginners and advanced riders alike. There are no excessively long climbs but there are a lot of short steep ascents. Some downhills are fun and technical, but nothing too difficult. This place is ideal for the beginner who thinks he/she is good enough for some moderately difficult terrain. Recommended Route: Take Route 20 and turn onto Dirth Hill Rd. Other recommended trails in the same area: -Peaked Mountain in Monson
