Summary:
The "Indian Trail" in Walpole is probably the best section of trails to ride on the Bay Circuit Trail in Walpole. The trail first follows the power lines for a few gravel and dirt hills and then turns left into the woods. Once you're in the woods the trail is amazing! There are several steep uphills and down hills, a few 1-3 foot drop-offs, and even a root graden. The trail twists and turns, rises and falls through thick woods and a little marshland. For a portion of the trail you will see a large marsh/pond to your right. Also the trail follows a wooded ridgeline for a good portion of the trail. I would definitely recommend this trail to anyone looking for an exciting, challenging ride in Walpole. Check it out!

Recommended Route:
I have only ridden sections between Sherborn and Sharon but my favorite part is in Walpole. Its called the "Indian Trail" to get to it from the center of Medfield, go down South St. and stay on it until you see Elm st. on your left right before the RR tracks. Follow Elm St. past the Wheelock School on your right and take a right onto the trail that follows the power lines. This trail, after a few ups and downs turns left into the woods. From here on follow the white blazes (at sometrail forks both trails are blazed white but you can take either because they meet up evntually). For most of the time the blazed trail that has a lower elevation than the other will be easier and a little less rocky. Eventually you will come out of the trail with a water treament facility on your left. To get to the next part of the trail go down to the other end of Leonard St. and the trail continues in the woods there. Rocky Woods for beginners and lower intermediate riders, advanced riders will not find it very challenging.
