Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Dalton Summary: It's okay
Recommended Route: Start from the parkinglot at the intersection of the Berkshire Crossing, where Hubbard Ave. and Dalton Ave. intersect. Go up through the gate and continue on the main trail. Once you reach the "top" of the first two short climbs, you will see the trail take a slow right, just as you come over a little rise. There is a trail that has some green grass at the entrance. Go down this, and look to your left and right as you go in. There is some singletrack in there. Tight and fun. Also, if you come in from the first large entrance just as you come onto gulf road, you come to some stairs (Or drops, not small enough to be stairs I spose) , you will see a log laying down. Jump the log and the singletrack to take you down to another trail is there. Short but fun. if you take that trail down, you will come to a large trail, take a left, and then a right, over the bridge, down the trail, and around the corner. You will take a right at the next intersection, and then shortly after you will see a stump, with a slightly use trail going off to the left. Follow this, but make sure you follow the trail, as it is still in the process of being broken in Other recommended trails in the same area: October Mountain

, from Dalton Summary: The Boulders is a great place to ride. It is especially good for novices as you can gain experience and it is possible to ride the area and avoid the few more difficult areas. Recommended Route: Any direction you enter the area you will have a great ride. Other recommended trails in the same area: Be careful of the cars on Gulf Road. Dalton refuses to close the road despite the recreation area and the town police do not enforce the posted speed limit. This road is also a great connection to the Ashtiwillicook Rail Trail in Lanesborough.

Reviewed by: Summary: thanks for posting these trails. there is some single track with mostly double track. there are lots of loops and it is pretty easy to get lost (although trailsare marked by color). There is some easy riding and some technical downhills with rocks and roots. the ride to the top has a great view. there is really something for everyone. One downhill has some log steps/dropoffs. if you get lost, look for a red marked trail which shold get you back toward gulf rd. Other recommended trails in the same area: to the people who are spray painting stuff like "mtb taggers" on the trails; Stop! This is a good way to get bikers banned from these very nice trails.
