, from Salem, MA Summary: CLOSED SEE ABOVE Recommended Route: This trail is now closed to Mt Bikers along with the trail called Forest River. The MBTA Police are enforcing the railroad crossing with arrests if caught due to the train related deaths in Beverly and they may even be dressed as Mt Bikers. The police have the authority to post fines and now there is a bill before the city fathers to impound bicycles if the police find you. Both Salem State College and Salem Police Bike units are patrolling these trails, to what extent is unsure. Other recommended trails in the same area: CLOSED

, from Lynn Summary: I only go on this trail because my friend lives in Salem and we go through it to get to Lynn Woods, otherwise, I wouldn't bother. If you get caught by the Salem Ranger you will get fined 50 dollars for riding in their so unless you are fast then dont go. If you don't know you way around Lynn, Salem, and Peabody very well then dont go either, because you will definetly get lost. this trails aren't kept up good at all, and sometimes you have to climb over a fence to get by the train tracks. Recommended Route: Anywhere Other recommended trails in the same area: Lynn Woods!

, from Salem, MA Summary: Update to my previous review: CLOSED to mtn. biking as of 6/18/99 (or therabouts). The chairman of the conservation committee can't deal with the continued root exposure and erosion damage that was started by dirt bikes, and hasn't improved as mtn. bikes continue to travel over the problem areas. SHIT!!! Recommended Route: NONE! Other recommended trails in the same area: Lynn Woods, Fells

, from Salem, MA Summary: Trails get pretty overgrown in the summer, and can be pretty muddy in the spring, but it's 1/2 mile from my house, so I can't really complain. Fairly easy stuff for the most part with a few short, rocky climbs, and some really rooty sections to loosen your fillings. Look out for coeds gettin' busy out there! Recommended Route: Above directions are good. Just get in there pick a loop and get lost. They all come out somewhere civilized. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lynn woods, Fells, Harold Parker
