, from west gloucester Summary: this place if great if your looking for an afternoon ride, the scenery is beautiful, the trails are well groomed and taken care of and the paths are all marked accordingly, virtually impossible to get lost unless you leave the property wich long as you pay attention to the signs you won't have fun and ride hard! Recommended Route: i also recomend the ledge hill trail, but if you like fast singletrack stuff take the boring fireroad from the gate until the fireroad comes to a split, from hear go left, follow this rd. about a 1/4mile till the is a trail marked number 7. get a good start and its all downhill from there, you will come to another intersection where you want to take a quick left, don't slow down these are the best trails to wip through. other trails in ravenswood are the magnolia swamp, even though it says no mountain bikes, if you are considerate to people walking this trail nobody will bother you, it takes you down deep to the swamp where there is a plank bridge that goes accross and if your balance is not good i recomend walking your sorry ass accross or you will be up to your knees in mud.Trust me i have been there and done that, once crossing the bridge you will follow this trail till you come to a fork in the trail, from hear you can go in either direction, if you comute uphill to the left pass the sign telling you that you have left the park boundry's you will enter the fernwood lake area, i grew up riding motocross bikes in the area and a few kids still race around on the old jumps i have built years ago so be carefull of motorist, also if your a pansy don't go this way, whenever you reach a point telling you that you have met the boundry's of the park you should turn around if your skirt has been getting caught in your chain ring all day. if you choose to go right at the swamp you will come accross a bridge like the first one and up a hill droppin you off in the parks fire roads take a right and you are back to sqare one! i ride these trails alomost every day and have been down them all and they never get old. even the fire roads are kinda cool, if you like speed i sugest wipping down these roads and hitting some of the bumps in the road (you will see what i mean as far as bumps) anyway hit these with some real good angst and pull way the f*c* up on the bike to sail down the hill taking the airline rt. have fun! this place you will never regret coming to!!!!!!!! Other recommended trails in the same area: lynnwoods even though it beat me, gloucester pipeline, redrock, dogtown, beverly's piggery for some big drops

, from Gloucester Summary: This area is 450 acres and offers well groomed fireroads and technical single track. Great for group with multiple skill levels. There are a few steep descents and blue dot trail turn very technical going toward Magnolia Swamp from the back. Don't ride in swamp as it is closed to bikers. Hard to get lost here. Recommended Route: Enter on fire road and take first trail on right marked Ledge Hill trail. Follow this and explore. You'll find a niece vista, a small quarry and three ponds.
