Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Lunenburg, MA Summary: Nothing very technical in the Punkhorns, but there are lots of narrow deer paths to explore along with a couple of lakes. This is a nice place to sneak in a ride if you find youself on the Cape and your wife wants to go shopping. Bring a patch kit, and patch your tube before you swap it with the one in your seat bag. Unless you have kevlar liners you stand at least a 50% chance of a big nasty thorn stealing your air.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once
| |
Reviewed by: penguin
, from Albany, NY Summary: Nice terrain and pleasant woods to ride in. The trails wind around and intersect many times. Some of the trails appeared almost unused and were growing in. The two major downsides to this place are: 1. Its lack of length, only 2-3 miles of trails gets repetetive quickly. 2. The major user group here seems to be horses. Hooves + sandy soil = sandbox. It can be tough to ride through some of the sections where the top layer of soil has been stripped away leaving deep sand. The other problem with horses is their waste. There are too many piles of poop! Other recommended trails in the same area: trail of tears, falmouth
