, from Woburn, MA Summary: I live 1/2 mile from the YMCA entrance and I just got my bike into these woods. There are some nice singletrack parts off the beaten path and some really hardcore spots. On more then on occasion I have had to carry my bike down cliffs, but I do always look for the hardest way around. Recommended Route: in the trail across from the Y, take the first singletack off the path (it veers right) and just then chose your direction.

, from Winchester Summary: very nice trail, two nice man-made bridges at the start (i haven't ridden the crazy one off the rock cliff...) and then nice downhill single track. technical with some obstacles, my only gripe is that it's to short. Good for intermediate Recommended Route: turn into the parking lot from the main street, walk over towards the power lines facility and there's a big dirt road, head to the left and walk to the top of the paved road, head to the right and there's a little trailhead on your left. continue down the trail, i find that i always end up coming out in some lady's backyard... Other recommended trails in the same area: Middlesex Fells

, from Woburn Ma Summary: excellent scenery and places to sit and eat. Recommended Route: Starting from the parking lot at the Waterworks bldg. Start going on paved trail pass the (wood carved Indian)then see a small parking lot (no longer in use) and there across from that is an enterance to a trail, you'll see a little crate looking bridge and stay on the trail and try bearing to the left and as you ascend and there are some pretty good trails that aren't filled with many people at all. Other recommended trails in the same area: Great Brook Farms in Carlisle, Harold Parker in Andover.

, from NH Summary: Great trails, the flet ones were a blast, but the hills were a little rocky. I could probably do those downhills if I had better brakes. The paved trail that the dirt ones turn off form are good for children. Lots of people walk there, so share the trails. Recommended Route: All

, from Winchester MA Summary: Around the pond there is a paved road with a number of little singletrack sections. The singletrack is a bit of fun but all the thrills are really short. The only semi-"extreme" is riding down Horn Pond Mountain (which really isn't a mountain). There are almost always a lot of people on the paved road but hardly any on the trails. I wouldn't recommend riding on a weekend. There are way too many people then. Overall the riding is good for a beginner looking to ride semi-challenging trails that aren't too long and have many places top get out. Advanced riders will be bored. There are too many people. Recommended Route: Go to the main entrance on Pond St off of Route 3 then ride clockwise (I prefer). Other recommended trails in the same area: Middlesex Fells, Lynn Woods
