Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from Allston MA Summary: it's alright. Mostly paved paths, crowded in nice weather on weekends. Recommended Route: Down into Franklin Park Other recommended trails in the same area: The bike path along both sides of the charles river has a number of short, wooded runs branching off of it. They're all west of the Harvard Ave. bridge. Just ride along and keep your eyes open. Nothing too challenging but keep your eyes open. After the end of the paved trail on the South side, keep going a little way, in a parking lot there's an entrance to about a quarter mile of trail.

Ridden Trail: Every few months

, from Malden, MA Summary: The Emerald Necklace is a good escape from darting in and out of traffic riding around the rest of Boston. There are quite a few nice dirt trails throughout the entire park. This is far from a wooded trail system like you would find outside of the city, but for the urban riders of the area, this is great for a cruise and far from taxing Recommended Route: Not too much of a reccomendation, all decent trails Other recommended trails in the same area: Middlesex Fells; Great Brook Farm, Carlisle; Georgetown-Rowley State Forest
