Downhiller Summary: This is one of the better places to take a decent ride around if you dont have all day. I prefer to ride the north or marlboro side on Edmunds Road. Theres alot of small side trails that will take you all over so you gotta be heads up of where your going. There is some quick downhill sections and a better one on part of the Bay Circuit Trail. Recommended Route: Both the North & South side are worth being explorer. Parking areas are on Millwood Street & Edmunds Road. Other recommended trails in the same area: Vietnam

, from Medford Summary: As others have said this is a great place for a workout. Not very technical, not very hilly and not very big. Still I have been able to eek out a decent 12-mile loop that rarely runs the same trail twice. The most technical part of the park is the hill climb that takes you into Marlboro. It is narrow, has some off camber roots and plenty of rock. Once you get to the top of that hill and start descending take the sharp left up to the top of the hill again. It can be a burner but you will be rewarded with a gnarly but short downhill into the field. It is definitely better riding once you get past the "dog walkers" on the Millwood St. entrance. Since there are so many intersecting trails the best way to find a good route is to ride here with others who ride here frequently or do what I did and explore it on your own. I ride here twice a week as part of my overall cycling training and it's good for that. I would not plan a special trip to ride here though. If you are more than 45mins away or a hardcore rider you may want to consider other places that have more terrain. I give it 3 tires because it is good. Very good or excellent are a stretch. It offers a little of everything but not big enough or fun enough to want to spend a day with your friends riding.

, from Sudbury, MA, USA Summary: The Callahan park is perfect for a good workout and mildly entertaining technical stuff. Honestly its mostly rooty XC but its a nice place to go once in a while. I would say that Gibbs is teh most technical followed by the few DHs on teh marlboro side (which are past the powerlines over the dirt road). Try not to spend too much time attempting to stick to one trail as it is very difficult unless you're macgiver or something. No drops, slickrock or Lynn/Vietnam style stuff but worth the visit every time I'd say. I like it b/c its decent XC with some twists and is in rideable distance. I give it four because the roots can kind of hinder momentum (especially w/ a hardtail) because it is XC. I give it four because it is good for what it is supposed to be and not trying to be anything else. Recommended Route: Here's my route getting there: I have a four mile road ride to the bottom of a one mile climb to the top of Mt. Nobscot on Brimstone Lane in Sudbury off rt20. I then shoot down a fast singletrack DH and through that land quickly (Nobscot is a great place to ride also!!!) and out on to a residential street and onto edgell road where I take a right onto edmands road and a left onto winch street. I use the Millwood entrance. The ride to get there is just over eight miles. I take a left onto the fireroad until the dam and then shoot into the woods onto singletrack. I have to admit that its very easy to get lost in here. I have been riding here for almost three and a half years. What I usually do is ride my away around on the Fram side until I can find the Piepline which i go up and down a couple of times. I then cross edmands onto the marlboro side and I go up gibbs. Then I go down to the pond and here there are two choices. A: You can take the bay state circuit trail by a quick rigth and left or B: take a left which leads you to a few sweet downhills that are almost fun coming up. The marlboro side is easier to navigate if you enter the park from the formal Callahan State Park Marlboro Entrance. After finding my out I sometimes go onto the Parmenter-Sudbury resoivor trail which continues the bay state trail. After that I have a nice 14 mile road ride home. Its hard to say how much mileage there is in terms of trail riding but I usually use time as a reference anyway. Other recommended trails in the same area: Nobscot Mtn

, from Natick, MA Summary: I started at the Framingham side because its closer to me, we went up that huge hill and down it, then over to the malborough side. WOW! What a difference!! That first climb was insane! Very rocky trails, and somewhat challenging, as everyone before me has said, they are great to go out and ride if your close by and want a good workout. Great scenic loops in the fall too! I recommend gettin out there now! Recommended Route: Can't really recommend any specific routes, haven't ridden there enough!
