Weekend Warrior Summary: Yes there is a waterfall, my friend and I rode in from the resorvoir at the Rindge Road side. It is really tough to find a trail once you ride past the resorvoir with the water fountain. I remember walking across a little creek, we followed the creek upstream because there really were no trails at that point. About 100 yards up we spotted the waterfall, I beleive it was about 20 ft high that dipped into another smaller fall. I guess you can say we found it on accident.

Racer Summary: Burbank trails are great for any rider. There are fire roads that take you to junctions where you can jump onto pretty much any singletrack trail that you wish. There is a wide variety of trails including smooth singletrack, smooth up/downhill and technical up/downhill areas. There are also a few rock gardens lurking in there. The trails are so good and numerous that each ride you can do loops that involve some of the same trails but each ride can generally be different than the last.
The trails are also maintained very well (fireroads by the city of Fitchburg and singletrack by local mountain bikers and hikers).
To really get a good understanding of all the trails visit one of the local bike shops or go on a group ride, many of those guys have been riding these trails for years and know them and all the ones around them.
Overall the trails are good for anyone, good for more advanced riders (if you do the right loops) and great for new riders. Recommended Route: Instead of going to burbank hospital go beyond it to the next intersection and go into Crocker Elementary school and park. You can drop into the trails in the treeline on either side of the parking lot or behind the school's playground on top of the big hill. Other recommended trails in the same area: Leominster State Forest - Leominster Ma

Weekend Warrior Summary: I haven't got a chance to ride the Fitchburg trail, I just moved to Gardner from Albany, OR...I used to do a lot of riding over there because there's mountains in every direction. But I decided to pack things up and move out here with my girlfriend and give this a try for a while. I don't know a whole lot of people so if you live in the Gardner/Fitchburg area and you want someone to ride with you can email me at matt507@pacifier.com

, from Fitchburg Summary: Its a Good Work Out!
I liveabout a mile from the back entrance-If you left the Hospital and followed the fire road all the way past pump house to Ashby West rd.
To answer the question about where the "waterfall" is- its really a fountain in the middle of a reservoir. Its easier to get to from the Rindge Road side.
Anyway- from the Hospital Lot- follow main path past the powerlines, and thn take your first right onto singletrack downhill. Stay to a slight left fork, and go downhill even more. Keep staying left intil you come up against what is left of a brook or stream. You will see man-made retaining walls. Cross there, and you will see another reservoir. Its either in the first reservoir- or the second one wayyy up the hill.
The area to the right- as you cross the stream is the Ridge Road side, and is all undergoing some serious excavation. I have no clue as to what it is- but will find out.
Haven't been there this year yet(road bike rides), but I will. Recommended Route: Any
